The Company maintains a Quality Assurance programme in accordance with IACS recommendations and has been satisfactorily audited on numerous occasions. 

Work is also undertaken for major insurance underwriters. Surveys are carried out on all types of vessels, afloat and in dry dock, concerning hull and machinery damages resulting from collision, contact with quays, heavy weather, machinery breakdown etc, to establish cause and extent of damage. This includes following up permanent repairs necessary and later scrutinizing repair accounts and advising thereon.

Additionally, within the classification umbrella, a considerable number of industrial surveys and third party inspections are regularly carried out for both shipping and non shipping interests.  Condition surveys, damage/repair and valuation surveys are also carried out on all types of fishing vessels for underwriters, banks and individual clients. The company has also been appointed, always through recommendation, to carry out bunker surveys, on hire/off hire surveys, draft surveys, condition surveys, cargo surveys and towage approvals.

The company has various items of specialist equipment including ultrasonic thickness  measuring equipment for steel and other metallic materials, a paint thickness meter, a moisture meter for use during GRP or wooden boat surveys and several other items of measuring equipment including a digital thermometer, micrometers, vernier gauges etc.
